Press ConferencePress Conference on 4.1.2004 at the Natanya Municipality On Sunday January 4th 2004 at the Natanya Municipality 8,Tel Chai St, Natanya in the Olam Hayeshivot at 11am. “Ir Metuna” is a holistic safe city project based on VISION ZERO –road deaths and minimum casualties. The year long project will be carried out in cooperation with Natanya municipality Road Safety unit headed by Avi Elharar, the Traffic Police, Local Radio and TV, Egged, all the volunteer organizations including the youth, Yatam, the schools (Min of Ed) taxi drivers, truck drivers, driving instructors, etc and The Hebrew University Betts Unit for road injury prevention and the Center for Injury Prevention. The project encompasses every aspect of road safety and the raising of the public awareness to accept responsibility for keeping the town safe for all road users whether they be pedestrians, cyclists, drivers young, veteran and professional and their passengers.
